| I am not going to use the quote button because that is a long post. But I will make a comment.
Yes Brimstone is a private business and yes they can probably pick and choose who rides their land (as longs as no laws are broke). However, they are open to the public. Therefore, it is the public that can choose to spend their money with them or not. So if you say F-U we don't care what you want then we will say F-U back and not ride your park. It is simple as that.
Most people are not going to care about a feud between the two places unless Marla or Steve tried to kill Mark.
Brimstone does have some great trails. It is my favorite park by far. However, I have to disagree with the unknown poster; part of the greatness of Brimstone is Trails End. I have never stay any place better then Trails End. I usually rent the big cabin, drive ten feet and I am in the trails. Then I came back to the cabin and hang out with all 70 of my SxS buddies around the campground (Yeah we all fit at Trails End).

| There is a member on brimstone forum that is in pretty tight with them doing trail work and guiding rides and his name on there is Sir C-gar, so I would think that is probably the same person if I had to guess. | |

| To me this is irreversible as long as Recreation controls this part of the mountain. If they lose the lease I will gladly ride there. Mr. Love has seen my last dollar. | |

| I know who Sir C-gar is and he "used" to be a good guy. I rode with him in Evarts years ago on 4 wheelers. I guess he's been drinking Mark's Kool-Aid. | |

| I'm quite satisfied with riding the TWRA trails and continuing to stay with Trails End. My dollars are insignificant to Brimstone anyway, They said so... | |

I sincerely apologize for the long post. There are two sides to every story, and 99% of the post on this and another popular site seem to be telling just one. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and for the first time on any web forum...I will give mine.
There are so any hundreds of post I wish I could respond to...shed a different light on...but time will not allow. So I have selected a few to put my two pennies on. It is NOT my intention to offend a single soul. I'd fight for anyone's right to express themselves...even those with views/beliefs 180 degrees opposite of mine.
No, I'm not an employee of Brimstone, or a family member of the lease holder. I live in Ky, and over the years have ridden Windrock, Wildernes Off Road Park, Pickett-Car Hauler area, Hatfield McCoy trails, alllll over Harlan County/Rose Hill, Va...and yes, for the past few years, Brimstone.

HOWEVER, due you have any idea how many permits are sold annually? Each White Knuckle/SxS Event held for the past 2-3 years has avg. 10,000+ in event wrist bands. Add to that the additional 2-3 day passes for the "Woodstock of the ATV/UTV World".....do the math...and ask yourself this. Just how much does Brimstone "Depend" or need Trailsend and the 50 or so campsites they offer?)..... I apologize, but I can't remember who posted this comment: When Brimstone built there campground they were still doing the booking for both. They would promote there camp and not Trails End so they split. That is an incorrect statement and NOT the reason for the split!Brimstone built their campground for 2 reasons. 1st for the use friends and volunteer staff members of Brimstone who have given FREELY of their time to build and maintain 21,000 acres of trails, and help put on events. 2nd, to provide overflow RV sites during major events only when TE was full. I can't tell you how many times folks would ask how to get a site at the Brimstone Campground only to be told by Brimstone Staff that the campground wasn't for rent...it was only for staff members and others needed to go to Trailsend)
I suppose this poster seems to sum up the biggest "rub" that so many on this and other forums are having with the rule changes: Windrock is a great place to ride!.....Brimstone is also, but this is AMERICA not comunist CHINA I don't want anyone telling me where I have to stay and spend MY money.
Well anyone that knows me can tell you I can get bout ol' boy redneck as anybody. But is Brimstone telling you where you have to stay or can't stay? No, they don't say you can't stay at TE...just that you can't ride/access their thrails (WHOSE trails again? Brimstones!) Folks, I don't mean to preach/get political...but at a time when it, and so many things are under attack, I firmly believe in Capitalizm! IMO, the lease holder has poured sweat, time, and $$ into Brimstone to make it one of the top OHV destinations/event areas in the USA, and especially the Southeast. The maintenence, insurance, security, facility upgrades, advertising etc etc. to get Brimstone to where it is...has GOT to be staggering!
But here is what I haven't understood since the backlash started over the new policy concerning TE. So many of the same folks that don't like being told where they can stay...don't seem to see the other side of the coin...that is put yourself in the lease holder of Brimstones shoes. This IS AMERICA...right? If YOU are a buisness owner...do you want to be told WHO you have to get along/do buisness with?! What supplier you have to buy from/support?! How would YOU feel if folks where telling you that you HAD to get along/do business with someone that you...for W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R the reason be...just did not want to support/do business with?? Could Brimstone ban all OHV's that are "red" in color? Or made by a certain manufacturer? Well I agree that would be pretty stupid...just as many think the situation with TE being denied access to Brimstones leased property is stupid. Pehaps. But I was leasing land...NOBODY..but NOOOOObody had better tell this ol' boy who I can and can't allow on my property/do business with so long as I'm not violating any laws. And while I'm not an lawyer, post after post of Brimstone "descriminating" against TE just don't hold water, IMO. These things federally proteted by law from descrimation: age, dissabity, equal pay, gentic, nation origin,pregnacy,race/color,religion,retaliation (better read up on that one before anyone thinks there might be an angle there for TE to use against Brimstone),sex, and sexual harrassment have not been done by Brimstone against TE to the best of my knowledge.
I'll close with this. I've rode at alot of riding areas. I go for the riding 1st and foremost...PERIOD. I've slept in the open bed of a pickup truck, a hammock, 300k+ diesel pushers and everything inbetween. I've NEVER planned a trip, let alone return trips based on where I lay my head down for a few hours at night. For me...and I'm only speaking for this ol proud Kentucky Hillbilly..it's about the trials, good times on the trails with friends/family etc. Heck, give me a bar of ivory soap an a creek, (or decent supply of wet wipes) and even my wife don't mind much where we "camp" or not..as long as the trails are awesome. And "awesome" tight wooded trails, is why I have, and will continue to ride Brimstone.
dipshit misspelled wilderness and any man that spaces out whatever is an asshat to begin with.

| The guy that posts that dribble forgets this is freaking America, build a business that is open to the public and another one opens down the road, its called free market competition. Brimestone cant take the competition looks like to me so they are trying dirty tricks to eliminate it. I hope they choke and close down. RESORT those girls getting muddy are not doing it for their skin you dumbass's! Redneck off road riders are not looking for a valet parking, wine tasting or the other bullshit resorts offer, just let them pay you your fee and get the hell out of the way! | |

| On our local TV station last night, RL Gibson was advertising for Brimstone "because they're paying for advertisement ". In the "advertisement", they are now stating they sell TWRA permits and talking about those trails as well! A brimstone pass DOES NOT allow you to ride TWRA and Royal Blue folks. Think they're getting desperate?? | |

| Keep posting on boycott brimestone and like it if you havent already, its up over 420 so far, keep posting on any of the many forum topics, the only way to beat them is to keep it out there for more to see. Every new person that sees and understands it will help spread the word and could cost them many lost permit sales | |
