The main reason I'm not putting a lift on mine, problems..... I'm getting a set of progressive springs from Makin-Trax, they give about an 1-inch plus lift with no geometry change.

Anything you can think of that might have put enough stress on it to bend it?

you never said, if was this the original front brace or the up dated front brace that you had to call and ask for to prevent cv bind. Also your metal frame behind the radiator in the picture shows it has not been notched as it must be for the new updated piece to fit correctly.( see pic, green shows what has to be cut out) I checked mine and it looks fine and so does chrisc's but we both notched the metal and are using the new brace. Just trying to figure if this is going to happen to ours or a issue with the first brace or the frame needing to be notched.WARNING Frame_10

Gunny, I am not trying to be a butt here. You and Chris have not really hit the trails yet with the "s". This could turn out to be an issue when you get to Windrock or Brimstone. Someone needs to contact Andy and find out if there is a problem.

BigR At this point,
Im just trying to find out if Todd had the "New upgraded" front lift piece, LT,Me and Chrisc all called and asked for it after chrisc found out the cv joints would bind with the original one that was sent. Andy had already realized he had issues and had built a new redesigned front lift and sent it out free to those people that asked for it. But when chrisc went to put it on it would not fit flush because it hit the metal rail behind the radiator and to get it to fit you had to notch that part. LT, me and chrisc all notched our rail and the "new" unit bolted right in place. So the info im looking for really has nothing to do with how you ride or where at this point although id say LT has put his thru tough trails since he installed his. Its obvious from the pics todd's does not have the brace notched, if he did install the "new" piece then the reason it bent could have been due to that fact, if he doesnt have the "new" piece then it could just be a issue with that. IMO about the only thing that could have caused them to bend would be if you bottomed out the shock hard, this would put extreme force on the lift. But untill we can determine the things im asking about its hard to say if this could happen to others running the same setup.

So youre saying you are running the original lift and not the updated one andy sent out to most of us?

I hear you Gunny and you guys have the lift I do not. However, I think the new lift was built to keep the CVs from binding not from the lift bending. Maybe the new lift is stronger DontKnow Just trying to help.

All im saying is If todd and tim are running the original front lift, then they have a different lift than we do. But they will now have the same as we do since andy does not ship that first version to people for use on a S anymore, just as a "fyi" the first version was designed for a standard RZR which it works fine on.
