Yep -- That's why I like watching this thread. I still think he had a really kickin Rhino. I fully understand a lift on a Rzr but I thought the Ranger had greater ground clearance.

The stock tires say they are 26, but they measure 24-1/2, so yeah they look little, we're gonna fix that. Lift?? 14-1/2 G.C stock, really need one?? Probably not.

The ride really did not change much, if any really. I'll put a tape to it tomorrow.

This ain't gonna work............These damn bracket lifts, I tell ya. I wish I had the equipment to make them right. So-Far, I've yet to see any done correctly. I know better. And this is with the weight of the machine on the ground. When I put it on the floorjack the springs touch the tire...................

Yep, seems like all the budget lifts have one issue or another.

I think EMP designed the lift using a XP with steel-wheels, which I'd bet the offsets different. If all these guys would keep the shock-geometry the same, which is not hard to do, these problems of being stiffer, and clearence problems, due to straightening-up the shock angles, would go-away.
See the white-line I drew on the mount, it would keep the geometry the same, and clearence the same. Why's that so hard??

Sucks to hear about the lift issues bro. Seems like not enough R&D go into most of the aftermarket lifts. I think if I ever install another lift on my Rhino either I will make it or I will buy one that relocates the a-arms instead of just moving the shocks.....My .02
How did that lift do with the angle of the front tires?

Fronts are ok, it did change the angles tho. And your right, not enough R&D goes into much, if any of these things. If Rick at EMP can't straighten this problem out. I'm gonna cut-off the lower shock-mounts and relocate them. That will change the shock-angles some but no crazy-bracketry will be invloved. Moose, Racer-Tech, Rubber-Down, The one Gunny had on his regular RZR, and now EMP, all bracket-lifts, poor performance seems to be the trend.

Your are right, but part of the reason for moving the pivot point for the shocks outward is that it gives the spring more leverage which in turn helps get more ground clearance. If they kept it in line like you are showing they would at least have to extend the bracket/piviot more downward to get the same ride height. The problem then would be that when this was done it would let the a-arms drop too far and there would be problems with the CVs binding.

Could you have the brackets on reversed? It looks like if it was turned around the shock would be moved away to a better angle.

I know the moose set up that way. Out and up. It look wrong to me at first but it only went on one way. If it didn't I would have put the damn thing in upside down.

Wheel spacers also means fender flares. Not $149 but $149 + $200 for flares....
It's only money....
