A spot is more of a pencil-beam. The flood lenses disperse (spread) the light out more. I found Saturday-night, I like them without the flood lenses. They will do as advertised, 5000 ft easy. You get both a spot and flood with these. You can choose to run the snap-on flood lenses, or leave them off.

Yes-Sir , black and I built them myself. 3/4 and 1/2 inch tubing. Total cost, 16.00 when done.

This is the stuff, but WARNING, see label for cautions. Dilute in a spray bottle first untill you get your ratio right. DO NOT get it on any shiney-aluminium stuff, it will not shine anymore. It will make a brown radiator look wayyyyy better too. DO NOT get it in a cut on your hands.....................
