| Couldn't you cover the foam with masking tape and then lay the fleece and resin over it? I've been reading up on fiberglass getting ready to make my console and masking tape over foam seems to work with resin. | |

It very well might work. Never thought of that!

| The tape sounds like a good idea but I think if you try it you may want to cover both sides before you start. I know when I was working on my console I ended up getting the fiberglass resin on the inside in spots where it ran over the edges and through some of the holes. Also it it helps I found larger cans of the resin at my local Wal Mart for around $15 a can and it took 2 cans to cover it. | |

| You got one coat of paint to stick to it,,,,,,,,,, I'm thinking give it another coat or 2 of acrylic then the resin should not melt it down. I am convinced enough to try it, hopefully this weekend. | |

| Looks factory built from the pix, still scratching my head on how to make it more durable where it could ride down the interstate at 80 mph. Got to be some sort of coating that will work. | |

I did reinforce the doors with Gorilla-Tape Clay. The window-cutouts made them weaker than I wanted. The tape stiffened them up a good bit.

| Got my new heim tie rod ends installed today. Now I feel a little safer. The stock rod-ends are not threaded-on much more than 3 or 4 turns from the factory. Dangerous!!! Now there's more than an inch threaded in there. I can now set my toe and not worry. | |

| And like Mr. BigR. I've got something going to the body-shop myself. Gonna let the collision-class at Lanier Technical College do it. | |

| I'm having a strange speedo issue....At about 20 MPH the needle starts jumping all over the place.. It will wrap-around back to zero at times. Gonna check Hall-effect sensor wiring this week. I hope its just moisture in the plug. Pretty weird. First non-inflicted problem I've had with the machine. | |

| It took me months to figure this problem out and it turned out to be a week battery. Replaced the battery and the problem went away for a while then it seemed to return. It ended up being the dust cap on the sensor was not sealing. | |

| Thanks Phil. I'll take a look at the dust-cap. Did you buy new sensor or just fix yours??? Am I remembering correctly the dust cap just snapped-in the caliper-mount facing the rotor?? | |
